All MyJapaneseGrandma tins contain the same style of matcha these grandmothers whisk: not just any green tea, but carefully grown, first-harvest leaves that are shaded for weeks, hand-picked, de-stemmed, and stone-milled slowly to protect aroma, color, and nutrients.

We work directly with a small circle of family gardens led by these women and their children.

We purchase their micro-lots at a premium and commit to multi-year harvest contracts.Together, we’ve built a long-term, sustainable partnership that keeps this tradition alive.What makes our matcha different

• First-flush, shade-grown (ichibancha): spring leaves, shaded 20–30 days for higher L-theanine, natural sweetness, and vivid jade color.
• Hand-selected tencha → stone-milled: low-heat granite milling for an ultra-fine, creamy texture.
• Single-estate micro-lots: traceable small batches, nitrogen-sealed in Japan for peak freshness.
